Shueisha and Kodansha are two of the biggest names in manga publishing in Japan, but they have one more element in common. Both have solid indie developer incubator programs.

Today both publishers presented the games under their umbrella at BitSummit 2022, the popular indie event in Kyoto, Japan.

We start with Shueisha Games, which began with a video that promised to reveal its full lineup and new details in September. Considering that the Tokyo Game Show will take place in September, then we may have more information.

The first game is Oni: Road to Be the Mightiest Oni by Kenei Design, which gets a new trailer. We learn that the game will be localized by Clouded Leopard Entertainment and will come to PS5, PS4 and PC in 2022.

We continue with The Tower of Childen by Testo Alpha, which also gets a new trailer. It’s coming to PC via Steam in 2022.

Then there’s the reveal of Ukio, an adventure game by Seanot Studios and Freaky Design, coming to Steam in 2022.

Moving on to Kodansha’s Creators Lab, we get another look at Bokura by Tokoroniri, which is coming to PC via Steam in 2022.

Then there’s Family Battle by Nekogametaker, which launched today in Early Access on PC via Steam. Unfortunately, English isn’t supported right now, so we’ll have to wait.

Meanwhile, we get to see a new trailer.

Last, but not least, is the 13th month of Kobayashimaru.

The game’s full release has been delayed and will arrive until late 2022 (presumably before winter), but today the developer released a demo you can download on Steam right now.
