Where are Ex-FLDS Members Lloyd and Myrna Wall Now? – Warren Jeffs, the prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, made headlines in 2011 after he was sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing underage girls. Polygamy and underage marriages had brought the church and its followers into disrepute by that time.

Warren Jeffs, a polygamist cult leader and child rapist, is the subject of a Netflix documentary ‘Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey,’ that follows his crimes and capture. Though filmmaker Rachel Dretzin’s four-part series is at times difficult to watch, the first-hand tales from survivors are nothing short of incredible.

Warren jumped into the power vacuum left after his father, Rulon Jeffs, died in 2002 and appointed himself President and Prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The FLDS Church, a renegade group of the Mormon church that had been practising polygamy in the American West for decades, frequently with underage brides, became much more diabolical under Warren’s leadership. Warren amassed more than 60+ wives [one as young as 12 years old only] and sent girls to his older male followers to reward their loyalty.

Using tried and true cult practises such as cutting his parishioners off from the outside world, taking control of their finances, and threatening all doubters with certain annihilation. The show features Lloyd and Myrna Wall, a couple that left FLDS a few years ago. So, how about we learn more about the two of them?

Who Are Lloyd and Myrna Wall, and What Do They Do?

Lloyd Wall did not grow up in a fundamentalist home, but he subsequently became one. He was married to Myrna, his high school sweetheart, at the time. Lloyd intended to marry another woman after the conversion, but Myrna wasn’t keen on the idea at first. She admitted on the show that it was tough for her to imagine sharing her spouse with another woman at first, but she ultimately adjusted.

Lloyd claims that the prophet spoke to him one day at a ceremony and told him that Sharon Steed was a member of his family. As a result, the first time Lloyd and Myrna met, they drove Sharon home. Myrna had nine children with Lloyd in the end, while Sharon had fourteen. Sharon and her family lived in the basement, while Myrna and her children lived upstairs. Myrna’s initial welcoming approach quickly gave way to jealousy, according to Rebecca Wall, one of Sharon’s kids.

Lloyd said on the show that he disagreed with Warren on several issues and that he didn’t like how he abused his position. Lloyd was later determined to have lost control of his family, and Sharon and the children were taken from him. Instead, they were assigned to Fred Jessop, another individual. Lloyd’s prestige inside the church was removed from him, and he even lost his engineering firm to the church, according to the episode.

What Has Happened to Lloyd and Myrna Wall?

Lloyd is the father of two women who have subsequently left the church and testified against Warren in court: Rebecca and Elissa Wall. He married again, and he and his three wives had a total of 24 children. Lloyd departed the church in 2014, and for the time being, it appears that he and Myrna are enjoying life after retirement. According to our information, the pair resides in La Verkin, Utah.

Lloyd stated in a recent interview that when he was a member of the church, the men were taught that their daughter marrying the prophet was an honour. So, in 1995, having Rebecca marry Rulon Jeffs, who was around 85 years old at the time, felt like the natural thing to do. Furthermore, Lloyd released a book that was a response to Rebecca’s accusations in her memoir.
