university Kentucky The men’s basketball team held an open exercise on Tuesday to raise funds for the victims of the widespread floods in the state.
To pique interest, Wildcats coach John Calipari promised a surprise during the accompanying telethon. he made good on his word gonzaga Coach Mark Few took the call to share the announcement that the two Blueblood programs were entering a home and home series over the next two seasons.
The Wildcats will travel to Spokane, Wash., to play at Gonzaga on November 20 of the upcoming season, and the Bulldogs will make a return trip to Lexington at some point during the 2023–24 season.

The idea for holding an open exercise to raise funds for flood victims came from Kentucky guard CJ Fredrick, who brought the proposal to Calipari and teammates.
“I had the initial idea and took it to the team,” Frederick said during the telethon, “But it’s really been a team thing – not just me. They have great ideas.”
Kentucky posted a 26-8 record last season, ending in a first round loss to the St. Peters of the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga went 28-4 last season, eventually losing to Arkansas in Sweet 16.
