Drake was forced to pull out of the anticipated Young Money reunion concert tonight after testing positive for COVID.

The Gods Plan rapper was due to attend the October World Weekend Festival in his hometown of Toronto in Canada on Monday evening.

He was also set to be joined by his former Young Money labelmates Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne in their first on-stage reunion in a few years.

However, 35-year-old Drake informed fans that he would be rescheduling the event a few hours earlier.

He wrote in a statement posted on his Instagram stories, “I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for COVID and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled as soon as possible. Is.”

He added: ‘I’ll keep posting the city and share the new date as and when we close it. Till then I hope everyone is safe and healthy and I love you all. I’m sorry to disappoint you on our weekend together.’

Slipping in an apt joke, he quipped: ‘The moment I test negative, I will give you everything I got on stage (except Covid).’

October World Weekend is a three-day event featuring Chris Brown, Lil Baby and All Canadian North Stars heading the first two nights, with the Young Money reunion previously scheduled to close the festival.

Drake’s cancellation comes just days after the Grammy-winning rapper went viral after a video surfaced of him singing Nelly Furtado’s hit songs as he shared the stage with her at an OVO concert.

Footage showed the rapper singing from the edge of the stage before running and playing I’m Like a Bird while holding the microphone towards the audience for a group single.

He also joined when Nelly, who also hails from Canada, performed her hit single Promiscuous.
