Alan Carr recently got really weird during the latest installment of 8 of 10 Cats Do Countdown, with jokes about his divorce.

Back in January, Allen and Paul Drayton, her husband of three years, announced that they had timed their relationship after 13 years together.

Near the start of Allen’s appearance on the comedy game show on Friday night, he was asked if he had brought a mascot, and presented the rest of the panel with a cut teddy bear.

“I’ve gone through a really nasty, messy divorce,” he joked. “My ex’s lawyer said take everything in half, look at him.”

“But not only that, household items,” he continued, before revealing “half kettle”, “half toaster” and “half fondue set.”

“All the cheese goes all over the floor!” Drag Race UK judge quipped.

Allen went on to say that he and Paul “split our celebrity friends”.

“I get custody of Adele,” Alan joked, adding that Paul “gets Gok Van over the weekend”.

Allen has been good friends with Adele since the early years of her singing career, with the chart-topping star also officiating her wedding to Paul in 2018 and hosting the event at their home.

The Interior Design Masters host also had a memorable moment when Adele called her to fill time during her An Audience With… special last year.

Allen ended the segment on Cats 8 out of 10 saying that she and Paul were “still friends”, but “despite taking half of everything, she is my dignity” before standing up to collect their items. Can’t take it” – revealing she was wearing only a leather jockstrap on her lower half.

Earlier this year, Allen insisted she would always remain friends with her ex-husband, telling Lorraine Kelly: “He’s excited about the future, I’m excited about the future, but we’re still Will always be friends because we’ve been through too much.”

He’s also talked about how he feels that comedy kept him from “having a breakdown” after a year of personal hardships, including divorce and the death of his beloved dog, Bev.
